I'm trying to read it, and it just so happens that the one and only kanji used I can't read, but I am thinking it means cough.
Speaking Japanese is so fun. I definitely need to practice more.

ReplyDeleteThe illustration to that image is quite funny, the particles for the cough as well as the kid hiding under the books combined with the different types of facial expressions makes it great.
I've studied chinese before, and the chinese for cough is 咳嗽 - the first character which is the same as the one in the picture. I wonder how it is pronounced though.
Checked the kanji dictionary, it's pronounced "せき” :)

ReplyDeleteFor a second there I thought the little kid was No-Face from Spirited Away and got really excited. It's okay though, this ad is still pretty amusing. I'm pretty happy I can read the ad (minus the Kanji), but I still don't understand it. ;__;
